All things New Vlog #14 Lessons from the Lake

Tweet Hi Everyone – I hope you enjoyed my daughter last week on Lessons from the Lake.  She shared about Creativity.   It was so good, and fun to have her share with you.  If you missed it, you can check it out here: Created to Create Vlog #13 Today, I want to challenge us to look at our lives and our situation through God’s lenses not our own.  All too often, it is easy to only look  through our own lenses and we miss the hand of God moving, or lessons to be learned. God makes beautiful things out of us.Powered By the Tweet This PluginTweet This God has been showing me, how He takes us, our situations and circumstances … those things we see as messy and not so beautiful and He makes them new.  He makes them beautiful.   No matter the messes we have made, or are happening in our life, there is nothing that God can’t make new. God makes all things NEW!Powered By the Tweet This PluginTweet This We need to allow God to breathe upon the not so pretty things in our life.  As He does, His pneuma breathe  will revive and make new those hard desolate places.  It’s the very nature of who God is. He redeems the not so great places in our lives. He makes all things New! He makes all things Beautiful. God sees you as beautiful. Created to Create Vlog #13 Lessons from the Lake

Tweet This week as promised, I took my daughter Brandi out from behind the camera and put her in front of it.  I asked her to share about creativity and how we were created to create. I also wrote a blog post about creativity through Bible journaling last year. Feel free to check it out here: Bible Journal Journey Do you think of yourself as creative?  Yes?  No? Well, if you don’t, then you should, Genesis 1:27 says that we were created in the image of God.  Listen to learn more. We were created to create! Powered By the Tweet This PluginTweet This This quote by Dan McCollam really makes you think doesn’t it. Well, It got me thinking anyway, and here are my bried thoughts… Scripture tells us we are made in the image of God, we have His characteristics and His very nature inside of us. His very Nature – His DNA –is in each one of us. Since God, our Father, is a Creator, we, too, are born to create. I hope you enjoyed my daughter sharing with you this week. Feel free to show her some love in the comments below and tell us how you are creative? I will make sure she gets them. How have you been creative today? Powered By the Tweet This PluginTweet This Tweet My Post “Climb Every Mountain” was featured in the August monthly link-up at : Life on Intention Link-up Party My Post “What’s in a Name?” was featured here: My Post: “Will You Sit with Me?” was featured here: My Post: “The Journey through Change” was featured here: I...
Searching for Truth (Vlog) Lessons from the Lake #12

Searching for Truth (Vlog) Lessons from the Lake #12

Tweet Last week on Lessons from the Lake, I shared how I have been feeling that God is moving us to a place where it is finally time we Kick Fear to the Curb. At church recently, my daughter, painted a picture during our worship time she titled ‘Searching for Truth’  The picture was powerful, but when combined with the meaning of what she felt God had given her, it was even more powerful.  Watch today’s video for more…. Jeremiah 29:13 – 14 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity   At our church, we allow artists to paint during our worship service, this is what we call prophetic art.  It entails an artists seeking God as to what He wants them to paint during the worship time.  They also ask God for a Scripture or an encouraging word to go with the picture/painting. It is always powerful to see how the Holy Spirit is moving and breathing through all aspects of the service from the prophetic art, the worship, to the message even when we haven’t communicated with each other verbally in advance. The Holy Spirit moves and brings things together perfectly.Powered By the Tweet This PluginTweet This Here is the full encouraging word God gave to her the picture she was to paint a few Sunday’s ago. The painting has a two part meaning: I searched for the truth, all I found was You (Jesus) … Searching for truth no matter the cost...

However, never fear, my daughter Brandi came to my rescue and she created a new printable, just for you! ( OK and for me too).  I love that she is my new VA (virtual assistant). It’s her one of her new business ventures so she can earn money to pay for her college needs.  Which I thought was genius of her since she has many creative abilities and skills.  Such as graphic design, video and audio editing, photography, transcription, bookkeeping etc.  I am excited for her new venture. (if you are interested in her skills you can email her at: bmkitterman@outlook.com) I have been considering hosting a monthly link-up or possibly a weekly one.  The link-up would...
