As I was preparing to preach the last Sunday in December of 2014, I asked the Lord for a prophetic word for the coming year for His church.

He said: 2015 is to be a year of Breakthrough and Bounty!

That was it. One sentence. I kept waiting for more, but He said it would come later. So, I simply shared that one sentence, and I waited for the more. It was a little over a week into the New Year when I began to receive testimonies of Breakthrough and Bounty from those in our church.

As we did our first ever All Church fast in January 2015, I fully expected the Lord to give me the rest of the word; unfortunately, He did not. In fact it was 4 months to the date while I was speaking at a women’s retreat that I received the rest of the word. As I was preparing and reading over my notes, I felt the Lord prompt me that it was time! It was time for Him to share with me the rest of the word for 2015. It is below.

2015 – A year of Breakthrough and Bounty

This year is to be year of Breakthrough and Bounty. In every area of your life: spiritually, mentally, and physically. This is not just about prosperity and financial gain. This is the year to lay a hold of the promises and prophecies of God. It’s time. It’s time for you to stand! It’s time ; for you to take your place as the sons and daughters of God! No more are the days of being in sin and bondage. The day, the hour, of your breakthrough is here. You were born for such a time as this. We are ALL in an Esther season – the choice is yours. Will you risk it All for the sake of the Kingdom? Don’t be like King Jehoash (2 Kings 13) and respond half-heartedly, stopping short of total victory and annihilation of the enemy (sin) in your life.  Instead, be like David, strengthen yourself in the Lord, inquire of Him, and He will lead you to victory. (1 Samuel 30)

It’s Time! It’s time to say YES to the promises and prophecies God has spoken over you. It’s time to press in. It’s time to move forward towards your dreams. It’s time to receive your Breakthrough and Bounty!

 Isaiah 60:1-3

Arise, shine, for your light has come,                                                                                                                                                                                                                          and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.                                                                                                                                                                                                 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,                                                                                                                                                                                                     and thick darkness the peoples;                                                                                                                                                                                                                            but the Lord will arise upon you,                                                                                                                                                                                                                          and his glory will be seen upon you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 And nations shall come to your light,                                                                                                                                                                                                               and kings to the brightness of your rising.

It’s time for you and I, the sons and daughters of the King, to take our rightful place and begin to live in our Freedom and Inheritance!

In 2 Kings 13:14-19 we find King Jehoash coming to Elisha for encouragement and answers. His enemies are at his door, and he wants to know what to do and if he will gain victory. King Jehoash responded to the word of the Lord, but only half-heartedly. Elisha gets angry with him and tells the king that he will only defeat his enemy three times and not completely destroy them. Jehoash demonstrates his lack of passion to be victorious, as is evident in his response of only striking the ground 3 times. In 2 Kings 13:11 it tells us that Jehoash did evil in the sight of the Lord, and he followed in the footsteps of the kings who came before. It is likely that sin kept him from seeing the enemy as a real threat, both physically and spiritually. Jehoash shows us that sometimes, the word of the Lord is only as effective as our reception of it.

We must, instead, be like Esther who showed us how to respond to the word of the Lord. Sure, she had her fears and uncertainty, but through it all, she responded to the promises and prophecies over her life. She took a stand for righteousness, putting her own life on the line to save a nation. She was called “for such a time,” and so are we! We must turn our eyes towards Heaven, call upon the One who died so we might be free, and embrace, wholeheartedly, our rightful place as children of the One True King!
