2020 A Year of Expansion
(Year of Double)
Welcome to not only a new year, but a new decade! What you do today, and this year is setting you up for the years to come to receive the fullness of the Lord’s Blessing in your life. It’s a year of the double. Double portion, double blessing, double anointing, and a year of double restitution.
Run headlong into this year with a fierce determination!
God is going before you to lay low every obstacle in your path and make the crooked path straight. (Is 45:2) He is straightening and stretching the road ahead of you. He is going to give you clarity of vision. He’s going to give you eyes to see further than you’ve been able to see before, so you can begin to declare and decree with your mouth, His goodness in advance!! This is a year of healing and endurance; A year of preparation and a year of expansion.
Healing & Endurance
This is a year for us, the church, to run with the horses. (Jer. 12:5) It’s a season of healing and endurance a season of preparation and expansion. Don’t go around the mountain any longer, it’s time to go North. (Duet 2:3) No more excuses, delays or holding onto the hurts of the past. No more complaining, deflecting or hiding. It’s a season of acceptance, forgiveness and moving forward. God is calling us, the church, to run the race before us with power, endurance and expansion in our lives. It’s time to let go and release the wounds of the past and walk in the fullness of ALL God has for us.
Preparation and Expansion
Prepare for the increase in advance. Use your voice, your words to release the sound within you to declare and proclaim. Preparation begins on your face before the ONE who created you and from whom all blessings flow. As you seek Him, He will show you the great and might deeds that are to come. He has grand plans for you and His church in this season to come. Plans for expansion, growth and new territory. He is preparing you and His church to advance and expand the borders of our lives. The shame of your youth will be banished as you lay yourselves bare before the Lord. He will move on your behalf. Enlarge the place of your life (tent). (Is 54:1-4) Do not hold back, prepare, strengthen and fortify yourself in the Lord for He will open doors, breakthrough gates and level the mountains. (Is 45:2) He has called you by name He will strengthen you and sustain you. He will prepare the way for increase and expansion. He will lead you to secret places filled with hidden treasure and revelation. (Is 45:3)
Voice and Vision
Clear vision and a strong voice are essential in this season. God is restoring and renewing vision this year. Vision to dream again. Vision to see the unseen, to see past the natural and current reality and into the spiritual which is the truth of Kingdom reality. This is the year of the voice! The time is now to begin boldly proclaiming the things God has been showing you. Sing O Barren One – Let your voice burst forth. Let your voice be heard in the Heavenlies as you call forth and declare the promises God has given you and what he is showing you. Dreams are awaking and Hope is Rising in this season.
Scriptures that go with the prophetic word for 2020
Isaiah 45:2-8
452I will go before you
and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
3I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge me.
5 I am the Lord, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
6 so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
people may know there is none besides me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the Lord, do all these things.
8 “You heavens above, rain down my righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
I, the Lord, have created it. (Isaiah 45:2-8) NIV
Deuteronomy 2:3
3 “You’ve wandered around this mountain long enough. Turn north,(The Voice)
Then God said, “You’ve been going around in circles in these hills long enough; go north.(MSG)
3 “You have made your way around this hill country long enough; now turn north.(NIV)
Jeremiah 12:5 NIV
5 “If you have raced with men on foot
and they have worn you out,
how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble[a] in safe country,
how will you manage in the thickets by[b] the Jordan?
Isaiah 54:1-5
54 “Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.
4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
5 For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
Spread Out! Think Big!
54 1-6 “Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby.
Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth!
You’re ending up with far more children
than all those childbearing women.” God says so!
“Clear lots of ground for your tents!
Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big!
Use plenty of rope,
drive the tent pegs deep.
You’re going to need lots of elbow room
for your growing family.
You’re going to take over whole nations;
you’re going to resettle abandoned cities.
Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed.
Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short.
You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth,
and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory.
For your Maker is your bridegroom,
his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies!
Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel,
known as God of the whole earth.
You were like an abandoned wife, devastated with grief,
and God welcomed you back,
Like a woman married young
and then left,” says your God.
