Welcome to December!
December is a time when we begin to look towards Christmas Holiday fun and various festivities. One year ending and another beginning. Our hearts and minds begin to drift towards family time, presents, food and traditions.
I also think December is a time to reflect on our year and reevaluate the goals we set out at the beginning of the year to accomplish. It’s also a time to revisit and ruminate on what God has spoken to us this past year. This is important under normal circumstances, but I believe it is especially important under the conditions of the last few years and all that has transpired in our nation. A lot can happen in a year. And if we don’t take the time to reflect and look back, we may miss out on some amazing things we accomplished or the ways God moved in our lives.
December, is a time to reevaluate where you are and where you want to be. It is a time to be encouraged. It’s a time to forgive, release offense, wipe the slate clean from the past. It’s time to ready ourselves to finish the year well so we can enter the new year ready to go. This December in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the business of life, I encourage you to spend time seeking the Lord. As you seek Him, reevaluate where you were at the beginning of the year and where you are now. Then ask Him where He wants you to be.
Join us today on the podcast as we talk about the importance of taking time to reevaluate.
I pray you al had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did.
Blessings and see you next week.
Episode #136 ~ December … A Time to Reevaluate
December is usually a time for family, holiday cheer, busy schedules, parties, food, and fun. But it is also a time to sit with the Lord and Reevaluate what He has spoken to you personally, to the church, and our nation. On today’s podcast episode we look back to the “Word for 2021: A Time of Awakening and Freedom.” We review this year in light of what God spoke at the beginning of the 2021 and encourage you to reassess and reevaluate where you are at so you can end 2021 well. It’s important to take time to repent, forgive and let go of offense so you can transition into 2022 ready to go and be launched.

Have you had the opportunity to read my new book “The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement: Hearing the Words of God for others.” ? This book is about learning to hear the voice of God in our own life so we can respond to those God bumps and little nudges He gives us on a daily basis. God is calling us to be agents of encouragement and to be the gift the worlds needs today.
We live in a time, where those around us are in desperate need of a real encounter with Jesus and in need of encouragement. We are called to encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13), and to build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). My book will teach you how to step out and do just that.

Are you Ready to #BeTheGift Someone Needs today?
Words have power.
To encourage. To comfort. To strengthen. To heal.
Especially when they come from God.
The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement Bible Study: Living a Lifestyle of Encouragement shows us how to follow Jesus by loving on and building up His church … one person, and one God-centered word, at a time. Diving deeply into Scripture, Pastor Debbie Kitterman beautifully unpacks the Biblical precedent of prophetic encouragement and teaches you how to hear from God. By doing so, you’ll bravely step into your calling to #BeTheGift others need.
In this stunning six-week study, you will:
- Examine the model of encouragement Jesus established for us.
Define the simple (and Biblical) concept of prophetic encouragement.
Learn to identify and test the voice of God in your life.
Explore activation exercises which strengthen your hearing muscles.
And gain confidence in your calling to build others up

I appreciate how all the spirit practices of Advent prepare me for the work of ending the year well and beginning a new one.
2021 has had its share of uncomfortable and painful days but I recall some mighty moves of God as well. It is a great time to reflect on how we have seen Him manifest himself in new ways in our lives.
I do love pausing at the end of the year to reflect on what has happened and where I’m going.
Thanks for hosting this community.
It’s funny, I don’t typically think about reevaluating until new years, but there’s no time like the present!
I think that you are totally correct. Thanks for putting a new light on things.
