Digital Detox? Say what?
How many of you have just broken out in a cold sweat? Or are already beginning to have withdrawals?
Wait! Are you asking me to give up my phone? not scroll social media? Give up TV? Not steam Netflix, Disney+, or my favorite streaming platform? Or all of the above?!?!
I can hear you all saying, “Now just wait a minute here! Let’s not go crazy!”
The truth is, many of us may need a digital detox as much as our children do. When I was first contacted about having Molly on the podcast, I thought, now this is an interesting topic. I have watched my own children, become addicted to digital media and video games, but I had no idea how to really solve the problem longterm. Yes we limited screen time and game playing time, but beyond that I didn’t really have much of a strategy. Maybe as a parent you feel the same?
