I had the honor of being a guest on Club 36 on a Christian TV station in North Augusta, South Carolina. You can watch the full episode here. Instead of just keeping me on for the one segment pertaining to my book, the host kept me on the entire show after that. I join about the 24-minute mark. The other guest is a Hebrew scholar and we were discussing the current signs of the times. I pray this blesses you.
What’s the beauty you are finding in your piece of the world today?
I have started a challenge for myself and have invited others to join me. I share a picture from my day with the text below. I invite you to join me and do the same thing. I find that it helps keep my focus on things that Philippians 4:8 says to focus on and not the other negative things. Below is the text and hashtags I use – feel free to copy and use on your own social media posts.

If you regularly follow this blog, you know I have had what has turned into a series of post in response to the COVID19 virus. Today’s post is week #4. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a month since things with this virus have begun to ramp up in our nation? A lot has happened over that month, but I fully believe none of it surprised God in the least. I know our current situation has caused a wide range of emotions for individuals. Never-the-less, there is always beauty to be found in the midst of any storm.

#4 Divine Reset
Divine Reset
I fully believe we are in a season of divine reset. I mentioned this briefly on a FB live prayer session I was a part of on March 21 but over the past week God has continued to speak to me about this.
Reset according to dictionary.com means: to set again or differently.
Therefore, a “Divine Reset” is when God is rebooting or restarting something. He is resetting or “setting again” His standard for His people. This divine or holy reset has to do with our sabbath or the Selah rest. It has to do with returning us to our first love and putting God first in our lives. In the midst of uncertainty with a global pandemic, we need to see the beauty in the midst. I do not believe the coronavirus is a judgment from God, but I do believe God is using it for His purposes.
God is bringing us back to Himself, our first love. He is hitting the reset button in our lives and getting our focus off the things of this world and back on Him. We have wandered away from the principles He set out for us in His Word. Which are: “To Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 36-40). And He is also hitting the reset button on our sabbath rest. (Exodus 20:8) As Americans and other nations, we do not do rest well. We are so focused on “doing” rather than being. Often times going to church or spending time in the Word of God is an afterthought. We don’t rest. We work. In the Old Testament not only were the children of Israel told to honor the sabbath and keep it holy, they were told to let the land rest every seven years. God is serious about us taking a sabbath rest. It’s not about a certain day, it’s about taking a day – any day and pausing to rest, reset and recharge. This is a sabbath rest.
In early December of 2019 God gave me a dream. The message was this: “A Holy Fear” of the Lord is being released in this hour. A holy fear of the Lord is being brought back to the church. There is no such thing as “seeker-sensitive” there is only the truth of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. We are being called back to our first love and to “awaken, oh sleeper and arise” in this hour! (Ephesians 5:13-17; Isaiah 60:1-3)
God wants unity amongst His church, His bride. To have true unity in the church it will only come about as denominational lines and boundaries are removed. Including lines within the same denomination. Unity in the church will bring about unity in our homes, unity in our families, unity in our cities, states and nations. (Mark 3:23-26)
During this time of “Divine Reset” seek the Lord. Don’t be fearful, be strategic. Seek His face, be in His Word, and position yourself to come out of this season fully rested and ready to be released into the new. God is birthing new things in His people during this time. Don’t waste the rest and don’t miss the reset. God is wanting to bring His church and His people into alignment in order to pour out new assignments!

Have you had the opportunity to read my new book “The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement: Hearing the Words of God for others.” ? This book is about learning to hear the voice of God in our own life so we can respond to those God bumps and little nudges He gives us on a daily basis. God is calling us to be agents of encouragement and to be the gift the worlds needs today.
We live in a time, where those around us are in desperate need of a real encounter with Jesus and in need of encouragement. We are called to encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13), and to build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). My book will teach you how to step out and do just that.
To order your copy today: You can find it at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, OR your favorite online retailer, Plus, newly added, you can now get a signed copy from me. Click Here to order yours today!
We all have the opportunity to #BeTheGift of encouragement others need today.

If you answered YES to any of those questions, then I have exactly what you need. I now have an online e-course designed to equip you in understanding that God still speaks today, and He longs to speak directly to you, through His word, and others. He longs to encourage you, strengthen you and comfort you. The training on this site, is fully based on Scripture, and taken from my training manual Releasing God’s heart through Hearing His Voice.

Divine Reset is the perfect description of where we are all sitting today!
And I keep praying that I will not emerge from this time as the same person I was going into it. God’s purposes are unknown to us at this point, but we know he always has our good and his glory as part of his plans.
I love the idea of a divine reset. It is crazy that it’s already been a month. I want to use my time wisely during this season and find God’s beauty all around me even now.
Lisa, I agree. It seems so surreal that it has been a month already. I too want to use my time wisely in this season. I have been enjoying each day and looking for the beauty within it.
Amen. I echo your sentiments.
Thank you Nylse!
Debbie, I love what you said so much, “Don’t waste the rest and don’t miss the reset. God is wanting to bring His church and His people into alignment in order to pour out new assignments!”
I don’t want to waste this time I’ve been given!
I also agree we need to be aware of the beauty around us. After all, Spring is about to burst forth!
Thank you, Jerralea! Yes, spring is about to burst and beauty is all around. I too do not want to waste the gift of time I have been given in this season to slow down and prepare for the next season. Thanks for your comment today. Blessings
I love this challenge. laurensparks.net
Thanks Lauren – the challenge to find beauty every day has been fun.
I love your challenge. I awakened to a beautiful day with white snow that covered everything. It reminds me God is in control. Great post!
Snow? Wow Maree Dee – It seems late in the season for snow, but maybe not where you live. LOL I love snow, so I wouldn’t be complaining if I woke up to snow. 🙂 Thanks for being here and commenting. Blessings
So very cool. Thanks for sharing it. Hope you and your family are safe and healthy.
Patrick – thank you so very much. Yes we are all safe and healthy. How about you?
