Well, whew, we got this week’s episode uploaded just in time. Thank you Jesus power got restored Tuesday in the nick of time to get the podcast episode processed and scheduled to go live. Some in our area are still without power and internet.
We got hit pretty hard in our area by Helene. We got pummeled with 68+mph winds and heavy rain for 2 hours. Some say in our are we had gusts up to 80 MPH. I believe it after seeing the devastation of downed trees (rootball and all) and downed power lines and the flooding. North Carolina about 30 miles north of us got hit even harder. Prayers go out to all those affected. We personally have 3 downed trees – rootballs and all that fell, causing some minor damage to structures that are not the house. The water level on our property almost reached the 100 year flood level. We had water leaks around the doors/windows during the heaviest part of the storm, but nothing that can’t be fixed.
All roads leading into town were blocked by large downed trees. By Saturday afternoon they had cleared at least 1 lane leaving the other blocked so traffic had to take turns … some they were working on into Sunday. Their priority was getting at least one lane open…Praise Jesus, by Monday they cleared most of the rest of the trees blocking the road except for one of the major roads, but that is because powerlines are tangled up in it. We had to wait for power crews to come from Texas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arkansas plus other states I am sure. Our power crews were sent to Florida ahead of the storm to help there. They didn’t anticipate us getting hit as hard as we did.
Last week, I kick off a brand new series on the podcast called: Becoming the Bride. I have again invited Amie Rogers to join me for these conversations. I am not entirely sure how many episodes will be in the series, but as of now we have recorded 4 and have 2 more we still plan to record.

Episode #285: Becoming the Bride Series: Just Do It!
Welcome to week #2 of the Becoming the Bride Series.
As I was doing the Equipping the Bride Series this summer, God challenged me to challenge you all(and myself) to start doing something with what we’ve been equipped with, thus I am doing a new series called: Becoming the Bride Series.
James 1:22 says to “be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.” God wants us to be active participants in what He is doing on the earth today, not just listeners or observers. We must be faithful stewards and take action based on what we have been given and what God is asking us to do.
Plus, At the end of each episode, I will have an activation exercise that will help us activate each weeks topic.
Prophetic Classes
Class started on Tuesday, but there is still time to sign up and join us. The sessions are recorded so if you miss one, you can always catch the replay.
Now more than ever it is important that we fine tune our ability to hear from God. An important element in any relationship is communication: a simple two-way conversation of listening and responding. But for many of us, it’s not so simple. We have, for whatever reason, never experienced this depth of relationship with God. Yes, we talk; but somehow, when He talks, we can’t hear Him. It’s God’s desire that all may know Him and have relationship with Him. This material will open you up to a fuller understanding of God and how to hear from Him.
