Can I ask a HUGE Favor: If you purchased a copy of my Bible Study: The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement Bible Study: Living A Lifestyle of Encouragement would you please consider leaving me a review on Amazon? If you purchased on Amazon great, if you purchased a copy from me directly, you can still leave a review by posting a picture of the book or a selfie of you and the book. I currently have 22 reviews. Amazon’s magic number is 25 to kick in certain algorithms. I know I have sold more than 25 copies, so pretty please would you consider leaving me a review ? or if you know of someone or gifted the book to someone, can you please ask them to leave a review?
Thank you so much in Advance!
If you haven’t yet purchased a copy, I still have the e-book kindle version for a very low price. You can find it by clicking here or the click on the image above.
Here’s what others who are joining me for the FREE 6-week Bible Study with me have to say:
This Bible Study came at the most perfect time. I have so many things coming against me and I really need to learn how to hear from God. Also the books are incredible, easy to read, fun and they and keep your interest and make you think every second. This was a gift from God and I am forever grateful!! — Carol M.
Debbie Kitterman’s book, “The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement Bible Study Book: Living a Lifestyle of Encouragement” is written in a style that makes you feel like you are sitting and having a conversation with her…..Full of laughter, warmth, and encouragement!
This Bible Study flows with such ease and speaks Scriptural Truths, Prayer Activation’s, and encourages you to journal, all which help deepen your relationship with God but also allows you to hear more from God yourself. I loved how Debbie is so transparent and real as she shared her personal stories. Debbie embraces the lifestyle Prophetic Encouragement. She shares her depth of knowledge so you may too, step out, encourage, and share God’s Words, Heart, and Love with others. Changing the world one word at a time. — Jeff W
Fear Not
This last week, I was traveling and speaking out of state which caused me to have to travel on 4 different airplanes over a period of 8 days. My plane the first day at the end of February was completely packed and in fact was over booked to my plane 5-days later being 3/4 full. The very next day, I hopped on another flight and it was over half but less than 3/4 full. However, just a few days later when coming home the plane was less than half-full. It was so empty that myself and the two other people traveling with me had a row completely to ourselves. Not that I am complaining, but it did make me sad. It made me sad, because, I felt people might me allowing fear to over-ride their choices.
I understand why people may have chosen not to travel, and I am in no way judging what people choose to do. However, I am just asking that we choose to not allow fear to dictate our decisions. Instead choose what to do and decide what you feel is right for yourselves, your families and your loved ones based on the leading of the Lord. I am asking that we all use sound judgement, not panic and not allow the spirit of fear to over-ride common sense, compassion, kindness and helping others.
This also goes the other way for people not to make judgements towards those who choose to stay home, or away from crowds of people.
This past Sunday I shared in a private FB my monthly Sunday encouragement in a group many of you may be a part of about not allowing the spirit of fear to over-ride the Spirit which God has given us.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).
The truth in the natural, according to our government is: we indeed have a pandemic on our hands. However, we also have the truth of the Word of God. (See Psalms 91, Romans 8:15, and 2 Timothy 1:7)
This truth is that we have not been given a spirit of fear. Roman’s 8:15 goes on to tell us that we have not been given a spirit that makes us slaves to fear. Instead, we are to be people who operate in love, power and with a sound mind. We are to be kind to others, loving others and not judging others. We can be dispensers of peace, love and operate in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Wile the Corna-Virus is a reality that our world is facing, we do not need to let the fear of it stop us from living our life and using a sound mind to determine what we should be doing. Instead, we need to pray!
Twelve Prayer Points to Pray
In the face of COVID19 here are some things to pray:
-
Pray Psalm 91
-
In fact, don’t just read it, but declare it! Declare it out loud.
-
-
Pray for the virus to stop being spread and to die (to be snuffed out).
-
Pray for those who are infected to be healed and no damage or death to come to them or their household
-
Pray for the spirit of fear to leave ourselves, others, our nation and other countries.
-
Pray against panic, fear, and uncertainty.
-
Pray for those families who have lost loved ones.
-
Pray for first responders and medical professionals.
-
Pray for those traveling outside the country to not be exposed to the virus. Also pray for them to be able to return safely to the United States.
-
Pray for wisdom for our President, national leaders, and public officials making policies and decisions.
-
Pray for the church to have a Godly response in the face of this pandemic.
-
Pray for all of us to have a heart and mind motivated by wisdom, love, compassion and not fear or judgement.
-
Pray as the Spirit of God leads you.
As pastors of a church, we have to take certain precautions to care for our congregation and the community we serve. We do not make these decisions in fear, but in wisdom. We are encouraging people to do what is right for themselves and their families.
Our state just yesterday (Wednesday) banned public gatherings in groups over 250 including places of worship and religious organizations. While our church is not in one of the 3 affected counties with mandatory bans, we know it could potentially happen. While our church isn’t over 250 plus members, we still need to take precautions to care for those in high risk groups and the elderly. We are thinking outside the box of what is normal for church, but so that we can still “meet” together, even if it is on-line or in smaller settings.
We are declaring Psalm 91 over our church while we continue to seek God’s direction in caring for our family, friends and congregation.
Prayer
Father God, creator of the Universe, hear our prayers! As we seek you in these uncertain times in the face of a world-wide pandemic, would You pour out Your wisdom and peace! Lord release FAITH into Your people to help drive out the spirit of fear, chaos, and panic that seems to be rising. God we ask for You to remove the spirit of fear from us and instead release your Holy Spirit. We ask for You to pour out Your peace upon us. God give us wisdom as to what to do, where to go, and what to sat. Lord help us know when it’s safe to go and when we need to stay. God we pray for those already infected with this virus. God we ask for your healing to be poured out upon them. God cause the virus to die, the tide of this to turn, and to not be spread to anymore people. Father God, heal our nation and those around the world that are already infected. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Your son Jesus, AMEN!
Below is Psalm 91 which I made personal for you to declare and pray over yourself.
Declare & Pray Psalm 91
I, (insert your name here) dwell in the shelter of the Most High
I will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save (me-)(insert your name here))
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover ME with his feathers,
and under his wings I will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
I will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at MY side,
ten thousand at MY right hand,
but it will not come near ME.
I (insert your name here) will only observe with my eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If I say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and I make the Most High my dwelling,
no harm will overtake ME,
no disaster will come near MY tent.
For he will command his angels concerning me (insert your name here)
to guard me in all my ways;
they will lift me up in their hands,
so that I will not strike my foot against a stone.
I (insert your name here) will tread on the lion and the cobra;
I will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because (insert your name here) loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue (insert your name here);
I will protect (insert your name here), for (insert your name here) acknowledges my name.
(insert your name here) will call on me, and I will answer (insert your name here);
I will be with (insert your name here) in trouble,
I will deliver (insert your name here) and honor (insert your name here).
With long life I will satisfy (insert your name here)
and show (insert your name here) my salvation.”

Have you had the opportunity to read my new book “The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement: Hearing the Words of God for others.” ? This book is about learning to hear the voice of God in our own life so we can respond to those God bumps and little nudges He gives us on a daily basis. God is calling us to be agents of encouragement and to be the gift the worlds needs today.
We live in a time, where those around us are in desperate need of a real encounter with Jesus and in need of encouragement. We are called to encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13), and to build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). My book will teach you how to step out and do just that.

I love praying Psalm 91 over friends and family. Powerful words about a nearby God who fights for us!
I agree Michele! Psalm 91 is powerful and comforting too!
Thank you for your calming voice of wisdom right now. It’s so easy to get caught up in the panic of the moment. But I don’t want to make my decisions out of fear either, but out of wisdom. Sometimes it means I stay home, but other times it means I venture out. I want to be especially in tune to how God is guiding my steps.
Lisa, you are most welcome. I agree, it would be so easy to get caught up in the moment and allow fear and panic get the best of us. I have also found myself staying in some days and going out on others. God is directing and guiding me and I continue to pray and stand on Psalm 91. 🙂
Thank you, Debbie. Psalm 91 is one of my favorite passages and my go-to Scripture to pray over myself and others during times of fear or needed protection.
You are most welcome, Karen. Psalm 91 is packed full of powerful promises and beautiful pictures of God’s protection over us. Blessings
This is a good message in the face of the hysteria.
Thank you Lauren. 🙂
Thank you for the helpful prayer list at the end of your post!!
thank you Elizabeth!
