Have you ever noticed how much Jesus talked about farming, fields, planting, sowing and reaping? It was kind of a theme for Him and for good reason. The people of Jesus’ day worked the land. They farmed, they plowed, they planted, sowed and reaped harvests.
In order for you to have a good, plentiful, and bountiful harvest you need Good Ground!
The same is true for our life and our hearts. In order for the “seeds” of The Word of God to take root in our lives, it needs good ground. Good ground makes space for good seeds to take root, sprout, grow and yield a great harvest.
So how do we make our lives good ground for God to plant His seed? We get our hearts right. We get them healed and whole. We get in His Word and read it, but not just read it. We meditate on it and take it to heart. We put into action what we read in His Word and we also take action based on what He is speaking to us in the moment.

When Cody and Julie Oliver met in their school of ministry’s worship class, they instantly knew a great adventure awaited them. Both had grown up in pastor’s homes and sensed a call from the Lord early on. Cody wrote music for secular and worship artists in the Atlanta music industry, as Julie began preaching while working for TBN Atlanta. They were married in 2017, and had their first son, Walter Isaac, just over a year ago. Now, they serve on staff as the worship pastors for ResurgentATL a thriving church in Marietta, GA..
Over the past year they have introduced new original worship songs in their church every month. The songs were received better than they ever hoped, and accomplished just what was wanted – that people would worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth, with language that stirred hunger and faith in the community for more of Him.
With a love for worship leading, teaching on worship, and imparting fresh passion for ministry in the local church, Cody and Julie are excited to release their first live worship album “Come and Move” in June 2022. Videos from the live album shoot will also be released on Youtube. At home, you’ll likely find them eating sushi and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with their toddler.
