Every year I seek God and ask Him for a prophetic word for the church pertaining to the year to come.
Here is the word for 2019 and what I believe God shared with me about what the year ahead will entail for His beloved people (the church). This is different than my personal one word, which I will share another week.
Since I reference the word that I shared for 2018, you can read it by clicking here:
Greater Things in 2019
God is calling us to put out into the deep in 2019. He is calling us to go deeper and trust Him more.
2018 was a year of new beginnings and a year of Promise and Destiny. Which brought about intense warfare and spiritual battles.
2019 will bring breakthrough, increase, and transformation in our lives.
It will be a year of drawing closer to God and a year of walking in the miraculous. 2019 is a year to possess the promises of the Bible and walk in the “Greater Things” He promised us.
God is calling us to a season of unrivaled and incomparable miracles. His Glory will be on display for all to see.
As we put out into the deep this year and possess the promises of God. We must continue to stake out and claim new territory for His Kingdom. This is to be a year of fruitful abundance.
As breakthrough comes so too will come increase. It will be a year of unprecedented fruitfulness and abundance, particularly in the area of Spiritual manifestations (miracles, signs, wonders) and an increase in the number of souls added to the Kingdom. (Harvest)
It’s time to go deeper.
It’s time to step out and obey.
It’s time to trust and go where He’s calling us.
It’s time to draw closer to God.
It’s time to walk in the miraculous!
The church, and we as individuals who make up the church, are being called in this season to walk in the “Greater Things” which Jesus talked about in John 14:12-14:
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. ( NIV)
This is a pivotal year for the Church. It is key this year that the body of Christ understands her identity and begins to walk in her spiritual authority. It is essential that we draw closer to God and put out into the deep. We must come together in unity and love, so we can begin to walk in the promises of the Bible. This year, the harvest will be great for the Kingdom of God, but it will come about as we all work together to advance God’s agenda here on the earth.
As we read the book of Acts, we see the church having a powerful effect. They added to their numbers daily, they had miracles, signs and wonders manifesting in their midst and they were of one heart, one mind walking in unity and obedience to Christ.
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all (Acts 4:32-33 NIV)
These are the same things God longs for His Church to be walking in today. This year, 2019 is a year to possess the promises of the Bible. It is the year His Bride will awaken and arise and answer the call! It is the year to walk in the fullness of God’s ‘Greater Things’!
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:42-47 NIV).
