I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name (Isaiah 45:3).
They all stood and stared in awe of the amazing sight that lay before them. Had they known what they were about to stumble upon, they would have been more prepared. Yet, how can you prepare yourself for something like this?
The team of explorers stood at the entrance to a huge cavern filled with a sea of treasure. There was so much more here than the natural eye could even comprehend. How long had this place held such a treasure? A kings ransom to be sure, but why was it hidden here? It seemed like such a waste, not just the monetary wealth that had been hidden away, but the historical as well. No one could enjoy it, and someone must have forgotten about it, because no one knew of its existence. The team hadn’t really been exploring anything when they stumbled upon the biggest find ever. What lay before them was something of the movies. People just don’t find treasure like this anymore, it has all be discovered or previously uncovered, right? I mean, who were they to find such riches as these?
As I think over this scene, I am reminded of Esther before she was chosen Queen. There is a scene from the movie “One Night with the King” that depicts this so well. How must Esther have felt when she was allowed into the King’s treasure room?
“Choose anything you want, and it’s yours to keep. Wear it for your one night with the King she was told.”
Esther, did not want anything, and the rest of the crowd was in awe, captured by the beauty and prestige that they weighed themselves down, with more than they needed.
Esther 2:15 says, “When it was Esther’s turn to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king’s eunuch in charge of the harem, had recommended. Esther, just as she was, won the admiration of everyone who saw her.”
Esther chose to be who she was and not try to cover it up or enhance it with “things” like the others. She simply only asked for what would please the King. I believe Esther knew it wasn’t about the outward beauty and adornment or any of the things she could take away with her, it was about winning the heart of a king that mattered.
The King chose Esther for many reasons, the most important being, because God had chosen her to be Queen. And what of us? Many of us stand at the entrance to the King’s treasure room and are in awe of all that is there. We must remember, we have already won His heart. All that He has is ours; we don’t need to stand in shock, but rather be in awe of all that He has for us. It’s our inheritance—the treasures of the kingdom are ours. But what of the treasure that has been hidden away? Maybe, it is yet to be discovered.
There is a treasure that lies within all of us, a God given gift or talent that is waiting to be discovered and developed.
What is your treasure? This week on my video blog, Entrusted, I ask the simple question: “What is the one thing God has Entrusted to you?
Take some time to make a personal inventory of who God made you to be.
What are some of the dreams, and hopes that you may have?
What are some giftings and talents that others have pointed out to you?
What has God said to you about the plans He has for you?
Every one of us is a treasure to the Kingdom of God; some of us have treasure hidden within us waiting to be discovered.
So I challenge you to embark on the exploration of a lifetime. An expedition that will forever change your life. Answer the questions honestly, and earnestly seek the answers that you don’t know. In doing this, you will find treasure that has long been forgotten, buried, or maybe even pushed aside, and you will discover new treasure waiting to be uncovered and brought into the light.
You have already won the heart of the King, He lives in and shines through you, now go and be as He created you to be.
For God, who said, “Let light shine our of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us (2 Corinthians 6:7-8)

It’s The Best Risk I Ever Took!
I love blogging, but I’ll be honest —it can be frustrating sometimes! In February 2016, I joined Elite Blog Academy, becasue honestly, understanding the ins and outs of the blogging world and what I needed to do to have a successful blog felt very overwhelming. I kept feeling like I was behind the proverbial 8 ball and not in the know on the important things for maintaining and running a blog.
Do you ever feel the same way? Maybe you’ve even wished there was someone out there who could just show you, step-by-step, exactly what you needed to do to create a successful blog.
Well, I sure did. I am a show me how to do it, don’t just tell me how to do it person. and so I took a big risk, and paid some money to have someone hold my hand through the process, and I am SO glad I did!
Since starting Elite Blog Academy, I have turned my frustration into Action. I have turned my lack of understanding into Knowledge.
And you know what? None of this was by accident.
Since 2014, Elite Blog Academy has been field-tested by bloggers just like me. The program is designed to get results, and it does.
In fact, it even comes with a 100% money-back guarantee, which means you’ve literally got nothing to lose.
But don’t wait!
Enrollment for Elite Blog Academy only opens ONCE a year, for five days only. If you want in, you’ll have to act fast!

Wonderful and inspiring food for thought, thank you for sharing!
thank you Angela and thank you for taking the time to read and comment.
I think that life is a quest on finding that treasure, some uncovered here and some there, as we grow and build upon it there is more to be found. And the more we give our talents away the more they will be refilled! Isn’t that the coolest?
Yes, absolutely, I so agree = the more we give it away the more we get back… it always reminds me of a song, that no one has every heard of … maybe you’ve heard of it…. Love is like a magic penny, hold it tight and you won’t have any…. lend it, spend it, you’ll have so many they will roll right over the floor. I like your perspective on life being a quest to find treasure too. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I always enjoy your stopping by.
The free one starts today! I am excited to check it out because I have never done anything like it before. Thanks for sharing the story about Esther. She is a woman to look up to for sure. I need to get your email and pick your brain about this blog thing…lol.
