Are there hidden messages in your dreams?

Could the bizarre dream really be significant?

How do I figure out what my dreams mean?

Is there a significance to reoccurring dreams and nightmares?

During the Dream Workshop we will dive into these questions and more. The dreams, visions, and even pictures we receive can be significant messages from God. But how do we go about “figuring out” what they mean? First, we need to understand our language with God. Utilizing her newly released book, Pastor Debbie will teach on these questions and more.  She will walk you through exactly how to go about figuring out what  people and symbols mean in your dreams, which is one of the steps for determining the message in dreams, visions, and pictures and what they can mean.

In God We Trust

Back in April when my husband and I were navigating how to do church differently in light of a global pandemic, the Lord spoke several things to us. One of the most profound things He said was, “Prepare My people for battle!” So, we responded obediently and have been intentionally laying a solid foundation regarding Spiritual Warfare and giving tools to those who attend in person and watch online to deal with what we are all facing right now. As I prayed over what I should write for my blog as I came off my summer writing hiatus, I was impressed again with, “Prepare My people for battle!” I am responding to the prompting of the Spirit and will always obey the direction the Holy Spirit leads.

Fact: We are in the midst of a spiritual battle right now. Not just in our nation but around the world. The Art of War: Prepping for Any Life Battle Series is all about giving you hope as you navigate real life issues you are facing today through the lens of the Bible.

Before I continue my writing and teaching on spiritual warfare it is essential that we all be prepared.  We can’t go into a battle unless we/you know:

  •  WHO YOU ARE & Whose you are
  • Understand your words matter so be careful what you say
  • Guard your heart
  • Trust God
  • Use Spiritual Discernment
  • Dress for Battle
  • And the list goes on…

If you go into battle filled with fear, anger, distrust, or negativity, etc. it clouds your ability to see clearly and renders you powerless in the midst of a battle where you are to be victorious.

The Titanic was slated to be the best ship ever built. It as hailed as “indestructible”, but when it hit an iceberg on it’s maiden voyage, it sank. It has since been discovered that it was not the size of the iceberg that sank the ship, but rather that it was rushed to completion before a looming deadline and was created using cheap steel, and poor rivets, ultimately dooming the massive ship.[1]

We need to make sure that we are building our foundation on God and put our trust in HIM because if we do not, when troubles and trials hit, and they will, then we will be weak and unprepared to endure!

This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
 That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:5-8 NIV)

Cursed is the one who trusts in man Jer. 17:5a ... Instead: Trust In #God Share on X

 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

 He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3)

Trust is: a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

  • Trusting someone means that you think they are reliable; you have confidence in them and you feel safe with them
  • Trust is a choice – You decide to believe and rely on something or someone.

Where do I put my trust?

In Man (Others or Self) OR GOD?

  • IN SELF – I am the only one that can take care of me – self-made –
    • unreliable, emotional and unstable
    • Not to mention Jeremiah 17:5 says cursed is the man who trusts in man
  • Others: family, friends, our government, science, money

You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
    because they trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. (Isaiah 26:3-4)

When we trust God, we honor one another. When we disagree, honor describes how we go about doing it. It’s safe to say that even in the church there are people who have disagreeing opinions. We have a cancel culture that is trying to rise up in our nation and we must stop it!

What is right for me, might not be for you-but we have to stop throwing stones at one another. We can’t stand on the outside looking in and make judgments and assessments — That’s divisive. The church is called to stand in love and unity.

We are called to love one another. We are called to not compromise or allow anything from stopping us from sharing the love of Jesus with integrity.

 God: But blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone;
the Eternal will be his confidence.
He is like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots beside the stream.
It does not fear the heat or even drought.
Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.

The choices and consequences are clear. Rely on people alone, and life will be tough and brutish. Rely on the one True God, and life will be rich and productive. (Jeremiah 17:7-8 The Voice)

One commentator said: We are forever asking God to bless what we are doing, but when do we ever seek what God is blessing and then do that?

Trust in God does NOT mean that everything will go the way we want it to.

Trusting God doesn’t mean thinking that He’ll eventually give us what we want.

Jesus once said “In this world, you will have trouble,”. Many of the most Godly characters in the Bible suffered tremendously. God did perform many miracles, but he did not miraculously protect all of His people from everything:

  • Joseph was wrongly accused of rape and spent years languishing in a prison for nothing.
  • Ruth lost her husband and became a poor peasant in a foreign land far from home.
  • All but one of Jesus’ closest friends were tortured and murdered for talking about Him, and the one who survived was banished to an isolated island in his old age.
  • In the end, suffering and pain is something everyone must face, whether you trust in God or not.

Trust in God DOES mean that … No matter what happens, we will turn TO Him instead of away.

That’s it PERIOD ~ TRUST IN GOD !

  • Even if other people mock, laugh or pass judgement on you
  • Even if, in your darker moments, you sometimes feel like God is against you not hearing you or He has abandoned you
  • Even if life hurts real bad and nothing you asked God for worked out the way you were hoping it would…

Even in spite of people laughing, mocking or passing judgement on you. Even in the dark times when you feel hurt, abandoned, and nothing is turning out the way you thought it would, You TRUST GOD. Trusting God means you continue to turn to Him, and away from the naysayers — you keep praying, even when those prayers seem to have absolutely no effect — you choose to trust.

 Hymn:

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul
.

This is trust: the ability to say, “Whatever my lot, it is well with my soul.” It is not wrong to present our wants and wishes to God but trusting Him means being at peace with His answer, not resenting it.

Trusting God means being at peace with whatever He wants; knowing that He wants it is enough for me; there is peace and it is well with my soul.

Episode #84 ~ The Voice of Truth

There are a variety of voices vying for attention, center stage, and control in our lives. These voices will attempt to discourage you, to dissuade you, to confuse you, and even stop you from walking out God’s plan for your life. We discuss some of the voices you must tune out such as: The voice of the past, reason, doubt, and pride, just to name a few. You mustn’t listen to these voices. Instead, tune into the ONE voice of truth. The truth is, there is only one true voice and that is God’s voice.

Words have power.

To encourage. To comfort. To strengthen. To heal.

Especially when they come from God.

The Gift of Prophetic Encouragement Bible Study: Living a Lifestyle of Encouragement shows us how to follow Jesus by loving on and building up His church … one person, and one God-centered word, at a time. By doing so, you’ll bravely step into your calling to #BeTheGift others need.

In this stunning six-week study, you will:

  • Examine the model of encouragement Jesus established for us.
Define the simple (and Biblical) concept of prophetic encouragement.
Learn to identify and test the voice of God in your life.
Explore activation exercises which strengthen your hearing muscles.
