Do you have a favorite Gospel you turn to when you want to read the stories of Jesus? I do! Mine is Luke. Luke, being a doctor, wrote in detail. Sometimes Luke gives more details than the other 3 gospels, and it’s always from a unique perspective.
What is your favorite Gospel to read the stories of Jesus? Matthew? Mark? Luke? John?
I recently learned when my daughter was leading the church in Communion that her favorite Gospel is John.
Today on the video blog, I want to share with you a powerful lesson I was reminded of about Intimacy with God. – Enjoy today’s video below.
I love how, God calls us to be intimate with Him. He longs for us to rest, and relax in His presence. He longs for us to let our hair down and lean back against His chest like John did to hear His heartbeat. But more than all that, He also wants to wash us. He wants to take those things in our life that seems messy or tarnished and He wants to cleanse it all. Not just our feet, but our entire self. –
I pray you were encouraged today by the video I shared and that you too will push past anything standing in the way of you fully entering into rest and intimacy with God!

I would say Luke, too, Debbie. Praying we all spend more time in whatever book speaks to our hearts!
Amen Donna – Amen! Glad to know you are a lover of Luke’s gospel as well 🙂
I have been enjoying this year reading the gospels in harmony (#100DaysWithChrist – Lisa Appelo). I’ve liked for so long how Luke describes things in more detail and how John magnifies the Deity of Jesus. I never was big on reading Mark, but this harmony of the gospels has given me an appreciation for Mark’s love for chronological order, even though he doesn’t give very many details.
Ruth – thanks for sharing about Lisa’s #100DaysWithChrist – it sounds fabulous and I think how you articulated which Gospels you like and why is exactly what I would have said as well. LOL I love it.
