Hello!
I hope that you had a wonderful Independence Day Celebration with your family and friends.
I would love to hear how you celebrated.
- Did you do something new this year?
- follow through with a family tradition?
- OR ???
Please share with me in the comments below.
As for us? Well, we’ve had a full house since last week when our first family guest arrived. My parents, plus my husbands mom and aunt have been here for the last 6 days. My momma’s heart was happy when my son came to visit for a few days, but he couldn’t stay through the 4th.
On the 4th we hosted our annual lakeside potluck BBQ and watched fireworks around the lake. Delicious food, fun conversations, and watching the awe and wonder light up the kids’ face is exactly how I imagined spending the 4th of July.
Due to all the busyness I just shared above and then some, I don’t have a post to share with you this week. (Link up is still below)
Instead I am giving you a sneak peak, of the Tune In Thursday Summer Preview. A preview of the Special Guests who will be joining me on the Blog in July.. and throughout the rest of the summer too. Yahoo!

Do you wonder if God still speaks today? Do you wonder if He would ever speak to you personally? Do you long to hear the voice of God in your life?
Have your read other books on hearing from God, but long for hands on practical application? or are you looking for ways to move you forward hearing from God?
If you answered YES to any of those questions, then I have exactly what you need. I now have an online e-course designed to equip you in understanding that God still speaks today, and He longs to speak directly to you, through His word, and others. He longs to encourage you, strengthen you and comfort you. The training on this site, is fully based on Scripture, and taken from my training manual Releasing God’s heart through Hearing His Voice.
I have been teaching these classes internationally for the last 10+ years equipping and training believers in discerning the Ways God speaks. God is speaking, Can you Hear Him?
2. My new membership site, d2htrainging.com has official opened, I invite you to check it out today, and develop a deeper relationship with the Lord, as you learn to hear Him speak to your heart.

Thanks, Deb, for your generous hospitality here in your writing home! Looking forward to gather around this virtual table with so many friends!
You are most welcome Michele – I am so glad to have you be a part of this community and sit at the virtual table.
Sounds like you had an enjoyable 4th! My husband drove to South Carolina to purchase some “real” fireworks. We had close friends over for a barbecue and then lit up the sky. Excited for the summer guest line up. xoxo.
Oooh Mandy, your 4th of July sounds like it was positively restful and patriotic of course. I love that you lit up the sky with some “real” fireworks… we did too 🙂
I’m so happy that you got to spend the 4th lakeside with friends and family. What wonderful memories you are creating there on good ol’ Pattison Lake 😉 It looks like you have a great line-up of posts for July. Looking forward to it.
Blessings to you sweet friend.
BTW, you are in a few pictures in my June in Review post.
Yes, we had a wonderful time making memories.. we are so blessed we were able to purchase your home…. we only had 1 snafu this year when little Mabel ran got scared and off and we couldn’t find her… but praise God she was returned to her family last night after posters and posting on facebook all yesterday.. Yes, the summer line up is power packed for sure.
What? I am in pictures on your post? I read it from my phone the other day via the email and there were no pictures – so I will have to go check it out. LOL
Time spent with family is the best time! Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend ahead!
Thanks Jas and yes, it most definitely is the best time when you get to spend it with family!
Looks like a great line-up, Debbie – thanks for the link up!
Thanks Sue – I think this summer is going to be power packed, and this line-up is just the beginning. Thanks for linking up
Thanks for hosting and I hope you are having a great week.
On the Fourth, I try to stay indoors and in my house. I don’t like going places because there are too many crazy people out there and they all usually go where I want. Also, as it becomes night I don’t like being out because a lot of people are totally drunk and drunk people and low-grade explosives don’t mix. Even though fireworks are banned in my city, people still have a ton of them. I know I am a kill joy.
Patrick – You are most welcome and thanks for linking up. I can so understand why you stay indoors… you live in the San Fransisco area? right ? I like to stay home too, or don’t wander far from it for the very same reasons you listed above. That is why we host a party instead of go somewhere. And, I don’t think your a kill joy. You just like to be safe and not around a lot of people. Totally get it 🙂
Thank you for always being such a gracious hostess. Have a lovely week!
Thank you Marilyn – I always look forward to the tasty treats you link up, I am so glad to have you join me here. Have a great week too/
Well your Fourth sounds like it was spectacular. I did do something new. We are in Park City, Utah and we attended the parade and the firework show at night. It was wonderful. We were literally right under the Fireworks. Loved it.
It was Maree! and yours sounds just as spectacular too – I love that you did something new this year to celebrate and wow -being right under the fireworks – that must have been amazing – I totally would have loved it too.
Happy belated 4th! It’s so good to be with family. My husband took the big kids to our realtor’s 4th of July bash. It’s amazing what parties she pulls together for her clients. I stayed in with the littles and watched some of the coverage in D.C. and a chick flick with my mom. I didn’t miss the mosquitos at all! 😉
Happy belated 4th to you as well Kelly! It sounds like you all had fun, I am one of those introvert/extrovert people so I could have went to either party and had fun, but I much prefer staying in and watching some chick flicks, and I wouldn’t have missed the mosquitos either. The seem to eat me alive, but not this year so that was a good thing 🙂 Thanks for linking up and sharing what you did this past 4th
