On August 28th, while driving to an appointment, I was crying out to the Lord for many in my circle who have been hit with disappointment and discouragement. I was even lamenting over my own problems and struggles with disappointment and discouragement from the previous weeks. For many, the challenges seem to keep intensifying week after week, and there seems to be no justice or relief in sight.
I was seeking to know God’s heart and get direction and, yes, correction if needed. I and others I so desperately love and care for need to see God move or respond. We need a breakthrough. After pouring all this out, I was left with no more words to speak, and I drove in silence, waiting for a response. I was waiting, but honestly, I wasn’t expecting a quick response. Then suddenly I heard:
When the enemy comes in like a flood, I (God), ALWAYS raise a standard!”
I knew I needed to look up the context surrounding this verse to get the entirety of His message to me. I immediately thanked Him and began praising Him for responding so quickly. Yes, my mouth and heart shouted, “God Always wins! He always defends and pushes the enemy back. He is the Victorious King, with all authority, no matter what it may seem or feel like, God ALWAYS wins.”
God’s response to my lamenting is found in Isaiah 59:19. Upon reading the entirety of Isaiah 59 I knew this is a RIGHTNOW Word, not just for America, but for the Nations. I have been in prayer, processing what the Lord has been speaking to me regarding this passage of scripture.
I highly encourage you to read Isaiah 59 in its entirety in a few different translations. As you read, ask God to speak to you and show you even more revelation about the time and season we are in and are about to enter.

The Warrior Bride and the Warrior King Arise
My Children, No matter what you face, I am there with you. When you cry out, I hear. I see. I watch, and I know ALL never doubt My sovereignty. Yes, My church and the Nations have been crying out for justice, and yet many have turned their back on Me. They reject Me as their God and push Me away. They make their own plans and evil schemes, twisting the truth for their own gain. Even those within my church have fallen away and twisted the truth. But NO MORE!
Those who stand for justice and tell the truth are put to shame, BUT I, the Lord, see and hear ALL.
I’ve waited and watched for the time to be right. Return to ME. Cling to ME, My beloved, for it is the safest place to be as I release My justice upon the land. (see prophetic word for 2023 https://debbiekitterman.com/cling-to-me-in-2023-tune-in-thursday-284/)
ALL will honor and fear ME (God). All will revere My Glory. All will know My Name and My name will be lifted High.
My chosen, My elect, My remnant are rising up in this season. They are no longer content to stay silent and hidden. They will arise and move as ONE directed by my Spirit. The enemy has had his way long enough. It’s time for the Warrior Bride and the Warrior King to arise.
The enemy has been rushing in from all sides for some time. But I, the Lord, will come in to push him back, and I will raise a standard against him. I, the Lord, am the Victorious Warrior. I am the King of Kings. I am the Righteous, Holy One. I AM the bringer of Salvation, and I will release My spirit to rest upon My Chosen Ones. When I do, they will be moved to action. They will not just fight for themselves, but for the generations to come.
As I continued to seek God regarding how to align with this word so that I would be counted as one of His chosen, elect, remnant, the Holy Spirit reminded me about a word my husband John and I released in January 2021 called Choose this Day! Which side are you on?
Choose this day who you will serve. The church and her believers must choose who to serve: Man or God. Of course, we know what we should choose. We know what the answer should be, surely our answer will be God. …
We must not assume we will be part of the chosen, the elect, the remnant. We MUST CHOOSE to Seek Him and Only Him. We must choose to seek truth and stand for righteousness and justice. We must rid ourselves of pride, fear of man, self-ambition, and gain, and instead walk in humility and submit ourselves to the purifying knife of God. Allow Him to cut out and root out those unholy, unrighteous, and sinful places. In the purification process, we must go low in true humility and walk in obedience.
We, the church, must return to a Holy Fear and Reverence of Who God is and submit to Him wholeheartedly.
