Have you ever felt like you were in a spiritual tug of war with the enemy?
I sure have. In fact, life’s circumstances these last few weeks have resembled this very picture I share on today’s video blog below.
When I recorded this video, it was well in advance of the last two weeks. I didn’t anticipate or think I was on a verge of being in a spiritual battle. But God! God is so good, that He knew in advance, exactly what I needed, and He made sure I had this encouraging picture to hold on to.
Tweet ThisSometimes, it feels like we are getting pulled over the line and we are about to lose, yet, the Word of God promises as we call upon the name of Jesus, He will come.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 ESV)
Jesus has already won the victory and when we are on His side, we win too. We are victorious.
He is our Rock and Our Salvation. He is our ever present help in time of need.
“For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? (2 Samuel 22:32 ESV).
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah (Psalm 46:1-3 ESV).
He is what we anchor our ropes too, so that when the enemy of our soul comes along, we don’t lose ground and we stand firm.
We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain (Hebrews 6:19 ESV).
Jesus is indeed the anchor for our soul. He will not let go of us. He is secure.
