I am excited to introduce you to a series that began four weeks ago and continues with part two for the next four weeks. This series on perseverance is one I have been doing with three of my incredible friends. Some weeks, I will share a “Lessons from the Lake” Video on the topic as well.
Together we will share insight, challenges, and our faith through our journeys of perseverance. Please join myself, Mary Geisen, Holly Barrett, and Patricia Krank as we learn from each other and share encouragement with our own stories of perseverance.
Part 1 in the Perseverance series (Bravely Overcoming Fear) can be found HERE, Part 2 (Persevering in Recovery) can be found HERE, Part 3 (When Prayers Remain Unanswered) can be found HERE … Part 4 (The Sting of Rejection) can be found HERE ….
[Tweet “Come join @MyOldThingsNew, @HollySBarrett, @MaryGeisen and me for part 5 in our series on #perseverance. Persevering in #Purpose.”]
As we continue our series on Perseverance for the next four weeks, we want to share our stories of overcoming and also ones of looking forward to remind ourselves how God walks alongside us through it all. My friends, Mary Geisen, Holly Barrett, Patricia Krank and I want to leave you with hope as you persevere in your everyday lives.
Today Mary will be sharing about persevering in purpose, but first let me ask you a few questions:
-
Have you ever asked yourself what does God have for me to do?
-
Have you ever found yourself dreaming and wishing for God’s plan to unfold in your life?
-
Have you ever found yourself waiting for God to show you what He has next for you?
Mary says, persevering in purpose is a “journey that has been ongoing my whole life, but one in which the horizon finally looks clearer. A journey of wishing, waiting and pursuing has brought me to where I am today.”
Start reading about Mary’s journey below and then make sure to click through to read the rest of what she has to share as she journeys to persevere in purpose.
Wishing, Waiting and Pursuing ~ Perseverance Part 5
written by Mary Geisen
Two years ago, my story of purpose, in the second part of my life, began when I walked through a set of glass, double doors for the last time. I left confident, full of hope and with dreams that seemed in my reach. Two years later, I see the fruits of those dreams and the gift of pursuing God each step of the way.
God leads us on a journey that does not look like the details we worked out in our heads. The last two years resemble that kind of journey for me…..

Have your read other books on hearing from God, but long for hands on practical application? or are you looking for ways to move you forward hearing from God?
If you answered YES to any of those questions, then I have exactly what you need. I now have an online e-course designed to equip you in understanding that God still speaks today, and He longs to speak directly to you, through His word, and others. He longs to encourage you, strengthen you and comfort you. The training on this site, is fully based on Scripture, and taken from my training manual Releasing God’s heart through Hearing His Voice.
I have been teaching these classes internationally for the last 10+ years equipping and training believers in discerning the Ways God speaks. God is speaking, Can you Hear Him?
