Join me today on the video blog as I share about what my husband and I call the Zero Sum Game. It is tied to a principle we see in Scripture that we like to call: The Principle of Release and Return.
What is the Principle of Release and Return?
It’s the willingness to freely let go of what you have, what you think you deserve, or what you feel/believe you’re entitled to you in order for God to fully bless you and others.
Once we understand our position in the Kingdom and of redemption, then we can become a generous people in our whole Body Soul & Spirit. Not just with our finances, but also with opportunities and ministry. We must understand who we are and whose we are!
The principle of release and return gets to the issues of the heart.
Do we Trust God is a good Father?
Do we Trust that He has more than enough for all of us?
Join me, over the next few weeks, as I share on the Tuesday Vlog and Thursday Blog posts more on the principle of release and return.

Always good to see you and that lake!
thanks Susan!
“It’s the willingness to freely let go of what you have, what you think you deserve, or what you feel/believe you’re entitled to you in order for God to fully bless you and others.” Yes, sometimes the blessings are greater when we finally let go. Blessings to you, Debbie! I’m your neighbor at #TeaAndWord.
so true Gayle, so very true – the greater blessings usually comes in letting go and holding loosely to things so God can move freely. So glad you were my neighbor at Meg’s
Like Jesus said, “… the one who wishes to save his life will lose it, but the one who loses it, he is the one who will save it.” The lake looks beautiful this time of year. Blessings!
Thanks Donna – the lake is most definitely beautiful this time of year… and I completely agree with the quote you shared. Thank you for stopping by.
So much good here! And the principle of release and return…Yes!
Thanks Crystal! Sometimes the principle is hard to put into action… especially the release part 🙂
I love this principle. It did me good to read this. Sometimes I start to veer off the path onto my own path of “rightness” and need a gentle nudge back. Thanks, Debbie!
Oh Meg, I sometimes veer off the path too. I am glad the vlog helped give a gentle reminder. thanks for stopping by.
I got goosebumps listening to you Debbie… I know all too well those twinges of jealousy when someone else achieves what I’m striving and hoping for, but living with open hands and being will to lift others up truly is more of a blessing. Rising tides raise all ships is what I keep hearing everywhere I go. Thanks for the timely reminder- you really lift me up and faithfully point me to Jesus! ♥ Thank YOU!
Thank you Heather! You are so right, living with open hands and blessings others s truly more fulfilling… I love what you said about the rising tide raising ALL the ships… So, SO good and a powerful truth as well. Blessings on you and thank you for your visit and comment too. 🙂
I love that, if there is enough for you then there’s not enough for me! No way. There is enough for everyone, if we have the right mentality. I have the same view of life, if I want to have something then I want everyone I love and care for to have the same things, it’s too good not to share. Thanks for the lesson of letting go of our beliefs in what we deserve, if it is ours it will come, at the right time. As long as we are investing and pouring into others! Love it.
