In mid-December, I bolted awake from a dream and sat straight up in bed when I heard a voice loudly say:
The enemy is trying to rob My people of their vision in this season and what’s to come in their lives!
I knew it had to do with the dream and God was sharing an important message that was not just for me, but for His church in this coming season. I immediately wrote down what He said, and then began to pray for clarification, understanding and revelation. The following is what I believe God shared with me for us, His church, in this next season.
Please know that why you may not now feel as if your vision is being hindered right now, we must all be vigilant and be on guard to protect the promises God has for us in this coming season and new year.
~~~~~~~
The enemy is trying to rob you of your vision in this season and what’s to come in your life …. There is a full-on assault and war being waged against you and your future[1] – – just as Abram couldn’t see past where he was at in the moment — God said he would be the father of nations[2] – But he (Abram) couldn’t see past his Right Now! — Abram even tried to make it happen in his own time and his own way –
What do you/we need to do?
-
some need our eyes adjusted
-
some need new or renewed eyes
-
some need restoration of sight
Here is the word for 2018 and what I believe God shared with me about what the year ahead will entail for His beloved people.
2018 is to be a year of Promise and Destiny
A year of New Beginnings
A year of stepping into your potential and God’s possible[3]
It’s a year of stepping away from the past and into a New Day
2018is to be a year of vision and growth
A year of pruning and planting.
It’s time to let go of the “I want it my way mentality” ~ it’s no longer to be your way or the highway.
Now is the time for it to BE HIS way[4] – All the way![5]
Relinquish control and trust God[6]. Lean forward and press into Him.[7] Rely not on your own understanding but seek to gain His![8]
You have an enemy that is a prowling lion looking and seeking to devour and destroy you.[9] Don’t give him free access to your life or you family.
Let go of disappointments and discouragement.
Let go of past failures.
Let go of offense and unforgiveness.
God would say to you – STOP! Stop looking behind[10] ~ stop looking around[11] ~ stop holding on to the hurt and pain and shame AND instead run.[12] RUN into the NEW ~ Embrace the new God wants to do ~ Let go of the past – forgive – forget and move forward.
God is doing something brand new! ~ Are you ready?
God is doing a new thing! Do you not perceive it?
God is ready to release something brand new to you and for you.
God is read to release something brand new through you and with you!
Will you receive it?
Will you participate in it?
Will you step into it?
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Boo ya!!!! This is truly inspiring. I absolutely feel the confirmation in my bones that God is asking us to RUN into the new and put behind the old! So good and just what my Spirit needed for continued growth and confirmation. Thank you sister in Christ.
Thanks Jodi! I shared this word on Sunday at church too. I am so glad you were inspired and that you can feel it for you too – that’s great confirmation! for us both 🙂
Love that verse from Isaiah. One of my faves.
Happy New Year to ya, Debbie! 🙂
It’s a great verse, and I am learning so much as I study it – I can see why it’s one of your favorites. Happy New Year to you too Lyli!
I am encouraged by that dream. I have been telling some people how the devil is trying to ruin things but God has better plans. I think that is why He has me resting, it has been a battlefield. I have seen the miraculous and yet I know prayer warriors who are hospitalized. Love is the best way, let’s just love Him and let Him love us, may the Lion of Judah roar over His people and rebuke the devourer.
Rebecca – rest is necessary and such an important part of life and warfare as well. I am glad God has you resting as you love on Him and He in return to you. Blessings
Wow Debbie you said it all perfectly or should I say exactly.
Love the photo too!
Thank you so much Debbie. I am glad you enjoyed the photo and the word. 🙂 Blessings
Love this post! Thank you for the amazing insight and verses. I am ready for the New Year and God to move.
This is a confirmation to me of what God has been speaking. Thank you!
This was beautiful and so encouraging! Thank you for sharing! I love what God is doing in my life right now. How He is working in me to let go of all of the past hurts and live in His love. To better comprehend His love. It has been a beautiful journey over the past year or so and I look forward to what He will do in the coming year.
Thank you so much for linking up at #LiveLifeWell!
Blessings,
Amy
Amy, THANK YOU! You are most welcome for sharing 🙂 I love how God is moving and working in your life – thank you for sharing what He is doing and I can just image what amazing things He is in store for you in the coming season/year. Blessings and thanks for being here today.
This fits well into what God has been calling me to for my word of the year – Surrender. Surrender all of it…my own thoughts, feelings, plans, ideas, past, every part of myself. I think about all the amazing things God’s done for me and how His love has changed me. I still have a long way to go, but I feel His call for me to surrender those things too. When we surrender our broken, He can make it beautiful. Excited about this year and your message! Thanks for sharing with us at Live Life Well.
