The Inspire Christian Writers Summer Symposium is not a conference … it’s a collection of opportunities to meet with agents and industry experts for the purpose of pitching projects and receiving coaching/personal input via one-on-one and small, interactive group meetings. All sessions are virtual and offer you the chance to pitch to one of the top industry literary agencies (Books and Such, Credo, Hartline, and Steve Laube Agency) or ask questions of and receive feedback from NYT best-selling and award-winning authors such as Francine Rivers, Susy Flory, Lindsay Franklin, and Cynthia Ruchti. A variety of experts are available on a large number of topics, including: memoir, self-publishing, speculative, writing for multi-cultural audiences, marketing, nonfiction for kids and adults, fiction for kids and adults, proposals, YA, screenwriting, humor, novelization, launch teams, etc. All levels welcome. Each session is “a la carte” so you pay for only what you want to attend, and the prices are a fraction of an in-person event. Dates are Friday and Saturday, August 28^th and 29^th.

We all experience fear, the goal is to not avoid it, but to press forward despite it. Krissy and I discuss the importance of facing our fears and how it is a key to overcome it. Plus, the four phases of how fear attacks us, three weapons we have to take fear down, and why we must not react to fear but instead we should respond.  Krissy says, “There is victory on the other side of your Roar! Once you cross over, YOU are the one the enemy fears.”
