No matter what you find yourself doing this year for the holiday season, I pray that you have a fun, safe and joy-filled time with those you gather with. This week, with all the craziness happening in our world during 2020, I decided to host this weeks linkup even though it is Thanksgiving. I figure you all have been writing posts and sharing your heart and people need to read them and be encouraged by you…especially if they have been put in lockdown and are separated from family and friends.
Here is my prayer and blessing for you and your family this Holiday Season.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

Thursday night as I sat watching TV, I heard the Lord whisper: Truth Matters.
Of Course, it does!
But, I know God isn’t just going to speak something that I already know. I have found when He speaks things like #TruthMatters it isn’t because I don’t know it, but it is because He is about to expand my thinking, work on my heart, and pour out revelation.
Friday morning for my daily devotions, I found myself reading Leviticus 6, not by choice, but because it was simply the next chapter I needed to read from where I left off the last time.
Leviticus 6:1-5 (The Voice)
Then the Eternal One told Moses:
Eternal One: 2 The following are instructions regarding liars and cheaters: Anytime someone commits a sin and violates his covenant duties to Me by deceiving his neighbor in financial or security matters, by stealing or by extortion, 3 or if a person finds something that is lost and lies about it and makes a false claim, or in anything that someone does, 4 and if he has sinned and comes to realize it, he will give back what he has stolen or extorted, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost object he found, 5 or any other object he lied about. He will repay it entirely plus ⅕ of its value. He must give it to its rightful owner the very day he gives his guilt offering.
Truth … My Truth – Your Truth – Their Truth – Our Truth … Truth … Truth Matters!
Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
What is truth? Shouldn’t we all want the truth? Why are some people afraid to tell the truth and others afraid of the truth?
The truth is, the Only Truth that matters is God’s Truth. We need to seek God and ask Him to give us His truth. We all have lenses and filters we look through which determines what we believe to be the truth. But it takes real courage to set aside our preferences, assumptions, and our feelings to get God’s perspective.
- As Christ followers, we are called to speak the truth in love, but do we? (Eph 4:15)
- We are called to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, but do we? (Mark 12:31)
- We are not called to judge one another, but do we? (Matthew 7:1-2)
- We are told to not let the passion of our emotions lead us to sin, but do we? (Eph 4:26)

God’s Truth is the only truth that Matters!
But don’t let the passion of your emotions lead you to sin! Don’t let anger control you or be fuel for revenge, not for even a day. Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil, an opportunity to manipulate you! If any one of you has stolen from someone else, never do it again. Instead, be industrious, earning an honest living, and then you’ll have enough to bless those in need. And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them. The Holy Spirit of God has sealed you in Jesus Christ until you experience your full salvation. So never grieve the Spirit of God or take for granted his holy influence in your life. Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love. (Ephesians 4:26-32 TPT)
